About Us

Each year chef’s from across the country are given the chance to represent their state and their home seafood in the Great American Seafood Cook-Off. The event was started by The Louisiana Seafood Promotion and Marketing Board in 2004 as a way to promote domestic seafood. Chefs cook before a live audience and present their dishes to a notable panel of 6 national judges who score them for presentation, creativity, composition, craftsmanship, flavor and more. It opens with a parade, is moved along by entertaining hosts, and closes with a crowing. It’s a don’t miss event for top chefs and foodies alike.
